Sugar cane industrial heritage in oriental coast of Málaga. A tourist route opportunity

Abstract Industrial heritage, as a historical and cultural heritage typology, can be considered new opportunity to generate tourism interest in zone. Along the 19th century at beginning of 20th century, oriental coast Málaga (Spain) was reference area sugar cane cultivation manufacturing. Nowadays, different factories assets remain. These an increase visitors improve economy this area. In work, six have been evaluated. Different characteristics has proposed value assigned each one. Finally, route visit designed.
